The Labrador and the search for explosives
The dog apart from its well-developed qualities, is able to detect odors given off by different explosives, especially because it distinguishes in the composition a range of chemical bases quite limited.
Dogs are perfectly integrated into existing counterterrorism capabilities added to the systems set to prevent any explosion. Thus, the dog teams perfectly well and completes safety teams of different strategic points: airports, bus stations, train stations. Its function is to control the luggage of travelers who are in the holds or cabin.
The training of dogs and their drivers very closely resembles the equipment cinotechnicians use for the search of drugs, what changes is the raw material.
However, the way the dog points is different: every explosive system has the risk of exploting at the least movement to this, so they teach the dog to mark its location sitting (if the explosive is located on the ground or buried). The dog must work with a relative calm not to exceed the explosive charge and risk being exploited. Its peace of mind at work makes the Labrador a great election dog in detection of explosive substances. Dogs are used rarely in the presence of the public and this never leads them to dominate an individual during his arrest.
